Hendrick Health was founded as a not-for-profit hospital in 1924 by residents of the Abilene community in response to a community need for quality healthcare. Throughout the decades, Hendrick Health has grown with the community, offering a wide range of healthcare services, often only found in larger metropolitan areas, to a 24-county region in the Texas Midwest.

 

The Hendrick Health family of services includes inpatient care, emergency care, urgent care, outpatient services, ancillary care and physician practices in Abilene and Brownwood, Texas. The acute care facilities—Hendrick Medical Center and Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene and Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood—provide emergency, cardiology, orthopedics, women’s services and more, coordinating expertise, knowledge and resources to better care for the communities we serve. Hendrick Clinic is a multi-specialty medical group offering more than 20 medical specialties to the West Central Texas region.
