DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in developing and implementing marketing programs for the Force Support Squadron (FSS). Under the direction of the Marketing Specialist, assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income to FSS activities. Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Using standard industry practice, computer software and/or instruments specifically developed for use within FSS, adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Administers surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists the Marketing Specialist in analyzing results. Keeps the Marketing Specialist informed of consumer trends and their application to the activities. Makes recommendations to the Marketing Specialist on program modifications and enhancements. Assists in developing training programs for FSS employees in areas related to marketing such as the marketing process, advertising strategies, customer relations and media techniques. Attends major FSS events and provides constructive marketing feedback to the activity manager. Assists in conducting advertising campaigns. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers for activity managers. Assists the Marketing Specialist in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Makes recommendations to activity managers on the design of effective advertising vehicles and appropriate media mix. Assists in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in activities by considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them. Assists in conducting media relations with on- and off-base media in concert with the Public Affairs Office. Provides or arranges for photographic support for squadron functions. Prepares and presents briefings to base functions such as newcomer’s orientation and Commander's call. May drive a motor vehicle in the performance of duties such as to attend and coordinate marketing activities on base and in the local area, distributing marketing materials. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have responsible experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. In addition, must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desk top publishing software, word processing and other software. Must have experience developing, conducting and analyzing market research information. Must have ability to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Background Investigation. This is a position of trust. Must be able to provide a valid driver’s license at own expense and maintain a valid driver’s license through employment. This is a drug testing designated position. Incumbent is subject to random drug testing.
The position is established to provide a means by which a new incumbent can become familiar with bowling center operations, rules and organization of leagues and tournaments; obtain a working knowledge of bowling machinery and equipment, lane care and the inventory program. The incumbent will be under direct supervision and will receive duties with full explanatory instruction. Work will be checked to ensure proper procedures, work methods and applicable regulations are adhered to. QUALIFICATIONS: Work experience in a bowling center is desired; however, not required. Must have experience in responsible clerical, office or retail work which provided the applicant the ability to perform common arithmetic problems, such as making change when receiving payments from customers. Must have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items and use of cash accountability methods. Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. This is a position of trust and requires completion of a Tier 1 Background Investigation. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination as the incumbent is required to step up 3' onto a metal platform and use of both hands and feet are required to gain access to the pinsetter.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages expendable and nonexpendable supply equipment items for lodging services through stock control, requisitioning, delivery and inventory control. Analyzes such factors as usage rates, inventory, seasonal demands, prices, special projects or program changes. Determines quantities required and timely stock replenishment and rotation by use of experienced judgment, historical data, occupancy and utilization. Establishes and maintains minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and amenities to assure adequate inventory of items to prevent work stoppage. Manages stocks of perishable items to ensure that items are used before expiration dates. Establishes and maintains the appropriate security of high value and items subject to pilferage. Maintains material safety data sheets (MSDS) on all chemical solutions stocked. Performs pickup and delivery supplies, amenities, and equipment at scheduled intervals to ensure an adequate stock at all work centers. Salvages broken or obsolete supplies and equipment according to applicable directives and policies. Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system for nonexpendable property and performs routine phases of property management according to established policies and procedures. Responsible for warehousing of expendable and nonexpendable backup stocks according to generally accepted supply warehousing and safety policies and standards. As required picks up various supply documents from warehouse office/remote terminals. Properly sorts and/or distributes to appropriate storage area for further processing. Maintains and catalogs files of items, description patterns, reference groups, military standards, specifications, cataloging manuals, and/or other cataloging tools providing for up-to-date information and easy retrieval without undue delays. Ensures maintenance and preventive maintenance are performed on all warehousing equipment and tools. Incumbent is required to drive a motorized vehicle (GOV) to perform tasks such as delivering supplies and inventory to various lodging facilities, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Progressively responsible in supply work which provided knowledge of rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements of the local supply organization and the organizations serviced. Knowledge of supply inventory and accountability procedures and regulations. Experience must have been sufficiently demanding to demonstrate the ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve supply problems and/or deviations from normal supply management procedures or program requirements. Knowledge and ability to perform a range of standard clerical assignments and to resolve recurring problems. Typing skills are required. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Background Investigation. Must be able to obtain a government driver’s license.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Installs, adjusts, repairs, overhauls, and regularly inspects bowling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanic equipment to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, automatic score and foul units, automatic ball cleaners, hold bores, and lane maintenance machines. Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment referring to manuals for diagrams and specifications. Follows manufacturer’s maintenance schedules but makes changes as necessary. Disassembles and replaces or repairs mechanical and electrical components or parts using soldering irons, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and other hand tools. Cleans and lubricates machines. Measures and regulates sweep of rakes on automatic pinsetters using hand tools and gauges. Runs automatic pinsetter through complete cycle and inspects for pin setting accuracy. Conditions, maintains and repairs bowling pins and lanes. Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters using wood and plastic lane stock, and sanding and recoating surfaces. Maintains required records and reports; initiates requests for spare parts, supplies, and hand equipment; performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of assigned spaces. Performs other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility as time and capabilities permit. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have previous experience in maintenance and repair of bowling equipment which provided a thorough knowledge of the mechanical and electrical principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment and standard test equipment, and the ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacture’s service manuals. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, stand, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical to include annual audio test. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Background Investigation.
